In his work placement with us in Somerset Council ICT, Connor helped deliver a new internal chatbot. He was a pleasure to have on the project, contributing ideas; challenging appropriately, and working as a part of a team to deliver a large and complex piece of work, which will save huge amounts of time for our staff. Connors attitude and ability to help drive this project to a conclusion have been faultless

Connor is a brilliant IT student. His passion for the subject has always shone through from day one. He will happily discuss topics on hardware and software, and he is always looking to invest in the latest technology.
In college his coursework is well written and well developed. His strong technical knowledge is aiding him in current units such as cyber security and incident management. He has been able to apply his knowledge to different scenarios, well above the knowledge of his peers. It has been impressive to watch Connor approach each unit with the same enthusiasm as the last; he is happiest when breaking a problem down and developing a solution to it. His 3D work in Blender has been exemplary. He has demonstrated a wide range of techniques including lighting, mapping, materials and documented the stages of development to show incremental changes. Along with creativity Connor has a good programming mind, working well with the C# language to develop solutions such as simple games and data storage. He combined creativity with programming to develop a website using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. His work was, as usual, well above the norm for this level. In his current Project Management unit, Connor has shown an excellent understanding of the different approaches to managing short and long term IT Projects, and applied his real world experience to enable him to find appropriate examples that demonstrated the key differences between, for example PRINCE2 and Waterfall methodologies. He has also demonstrated good skills in planning, monitoring and controlling the assessment for his digital graphics unit
